Shelters

The City offers smaller park shelters on a first-come, first-serve basis at no cost. Larger shelters at Lions Park, Steyer Park and Black Elk-Neihardt Park can be reserved for $50. Reservations must be made in person at Blair City Hall during business hours. For availability, call City Hall at 402-426-4191.

If you are planning to hold a large special event in a city park (ex: Jazz in the Park, Optimist Easter Egg Hunt etc.), we would appreciate prior written notice. Please send the notice via email or to:

This will allow the appropriate city departments to be notified of the special event.

Amphitheater

The City offers an amphitheatre at Generations Park available for public rental. A completed rental application is required for any event or activity held at this City-owned facility. Applications must be submitted at least 60 days in advance, and rentals are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that dates are not confirmed until payment is received. For large-scale events involving spectators, vendors, or volunteers, organizers are strongly encouraged to contact City staff 4 to 12 months ahead of time to secure their preferred date. Some events may also require approval from the City Council.

Depot in the Park

The City also has one four-season facility available for rent - the historic Depot in the Park facility located in Lions Park. This is an indoor facility with heating and air conditioning but no water or restroom facilities in the Depot. All season restrooms are located in the park next to the Depot. The Depot has two large overhead garage doors that open to the deck area. 12 tables and 64 chairs are available for use at the Depot.
