Replacing Lead Service Lines: Protecting Our Community’s Water

Replacing lead service lines is the most effective way to reduce the risk of lead exposure in our community’s drinking water. To comply with the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Lead and Copper Rule Revisions, the City of Blair is required to develop and maintain an inventory of lead service lines. Accurately identifying the number and location of these lines is the first step in establishing a comprehensive removal program to protect public health.

How You Can Help:

  1. Complete the Survey – Please fill out the survey on the form to assist in identifying service line materials in our community. You can mail it back to city hall, drop it off at city hall or in the drop box outside city hall marked Water, or email back to cityclerk@blairne.gov.  City Hall is located at 218 S. 16th St., Blair, NE 68008.

  2. Need Assistance? – If you are unsure about your service line material, you can contact City Hall to request a free inspection. A member of our Public Works Department will visit your residence at no charge to verify your service line.

Your participation is essential in helping us ensure safe drinking water for all residents. Thank you for your cooperation!
