SIRENS
The siren is activated for every fire & rescue response requested between the hours of 07:00 AM - 09:00 PM and last approximately 30 seconds and the tone of the sirens fluctuates throughout the activation. There are several sirens located throughout the City.
Tornado or emergency sirens, on the other hand, emit a continuous three-minute blast. These are activated by the Washington County 911 Communication Center when severe weather or other emergencies require public alerting.
The Tornado Sirens are tested every 1st Wednesday of the month from March through October for severe weather season. The test occurs between 10 AM and 11 AM on those days.

- South 13th Street and Butler Street
- On Jackson Street just outside of the cemetery
- N 27th Avenue between Nebraska Street and College Drive
- S Highway 30 and Hollow Road, located on Hollow Road just west of intersection
